Frequently Asked Questions
-
Laminates (HPL) are synthetic, high-durability surfaces made from paper and resin layers. Veneers are real wood sliced thin and bonded to a backer. Laminates offer consistent color and performance; veneers offer natural texture and variation.
-
Use laminates for high-traffic, moisture-prone, or heavy-use environments where durability is critical. Use veneers when the project calls for real-wood character and a premium aesthetic.
-
Most stocked products come on paperback or phenolic backers for stability and easy fabrication. Depending on the line, 10-mil, 20-mil, and peel-and-stick options are available.
-
Many of our veneers are available prefinished, which reduces finishing time and keeps tone consistent. Laminates are factory-finished during manufacturing and do not require additional finishing.
-
Yes. Several of our product lines include matching veneers, laminates, and edgebanding so your panels, surfaces, and edges follow the same tone and grain story.
-
Standard sizes are usually 4×8, but many lines also come in larger formats depending on the manufacturer. Tell us your elevation or layout and we’ll help you choose the right size.
-
Veneers are natural materials, so some variation is expected. Prefinished and engineered veneer lines offer more controlled color and grain uniformity.

Smaller orders are boxed and shipped via UPS or FedEx. Larger orders are palletized and delivered by truck freight. When ordered with plywood, we can flat-pack everything together for efficient shipping.
-
Absolutely. Whether you’re a designer, fabricator, or procurement manager, we can help match your project’s requirements—durability, tone, backer type, edge options—with the right product.
