Product Description:
Fireshield Building is the ideal product for interior applications that require a Class A fire-rated panel and where certain indoor air quality requirements are specified. Although Fireshield Building is surface sanded before leaving the factory to help prepare the panel for painting or laminating, it retains 100% of its flame-retardant properties. Final surface preparation is the responsibility of the fabricator or end-user.
Fireshield Building Ideal Applications: LEED® Projects, Schools, Libraries, Hospitals, Theatres, Offices & Museums.
Painting/Laminating: When choosing a coating or laminate system, confirm compatibility of the paint, laminate or adhesive with the respective manufacturer and ensure the Class A flame spread classification of the Fireshield panel will not be adversely affected.
Fireshield Building product suitability for a particular application is the responsibility of the fabricator or end user.
All Fireshield Building panels are approved for use in interior, non-structural applications.
Lightweight – ¾” x 48.5” x 96.5”. Panel weighs approximately 55 lbs (25% lighter than typical ¾” veneer core panels from North American manufacturers)
«J» Grade outer layers for a smooth, void free surface perfectly suited for overlay of hardwood veneers or other decorative surfaces.

During production of Fireshield Building panels, every individual layer of heart veneer is treated for flame resistance before the last meeting of the plywood panel. This supplies flame-retardant properties during the plank.
