NOVA® offers you unsurpassed prefinish options with clear, translucent, opaque and printed finishes. Select from satin, medium or high gloss, or a custom gloss level with precise color matching for your specific application.

Panels prefinished with States Industries NOVA UV cured coatings are ready to be fabricated without additional surface treatment, saving time, lowering costs and insuring a consistent, high quality finish. NOVA finishes include clear topcoats, custom color matching, stock colors, laboratory grade and recoatable finishes, all UV cured and all VOC free to meet LEED IEQ Credit 4.2 Low Emitting Materials

Why Used

Eliminate the need to finish in the shop, eliminate airborne toxins and facilitate high volume finishing.

Where Used

Pre-finished NOVA panels are used primarily on interior vertical surfaces, such as cabinets, closets, fixtures and architectural interiors, particularly where finish consistency across a large number of panels is important.

Options

NOVA finishes may be applied to all panels manufactured by States Industries. Available finishes include Clear, Translucent and Opaque. Standard gloss levels are Satin (30-40% reflectivity), Medium (50-60%) and High (70-80%). Custom gloss levels may be specified on volume orders. Custom colors require a prototyping process. NOVA finishes include NOVA PEAK, a set of stock color panels in popular species and NOVA LAB, a specialty finish with extraordinary chemical resistance properties that is SEFA certified for laboratory use. Recoatable topcoats are also available.

Environmental

States NOVA finishes are 100% solid, modified epoxy acrylate that is cured by ultraviolet light. They do not release any volatile organic compounds or hazardous air pollutants in manufacturing or in use. These coatings are roll applied in a flat line system that recycles excess finish, eliminating waste and curing instantaneously. NOVA finishes comply with South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1113 and contributes to LEED IEQ 4.2: Low Emitting Materials-Paints and Coatings. Like all States Industries’ panels, NOVA products exceed CARB 93120.12.

Performance
